World Children\u2019s Day  was first established in 1954 as Universal\nChildren’s Day and each year it is celebrated on the 20th<\/sup> of\nNovember. It is celebrated so as to promote international togetherness,\nawareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

World\nChildren\u2019s Day in KG 2R.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today in KG 2R we remembered this\nspecial day and made the children aware of the children\u2019s rights and their\nimportance throughout these last 30 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children were presented with a chart\ndivided in 2 columns.  Child one showing a\nhappy  child and child 2 showing a sad\nchild. I asked the students how they think the children in the picture feel.\nAfter that the students were given different pictures. Some of the pictures are\nthings that normally are enjoyed by children, while others make them sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children had a turn each and\ndiscussed different photos and stated if the photo shows something that made\nthem happy or sad and then they stuck the picture under the right column on the\nchart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make this day a memorable one, I prepared an activity that I was sure the children would love! Cupcakes decorations! All Children were given cupcakes, nutella and smarties to decorate and enjoy!#wcs2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
