Year 6 2021-2022 Farewell Celebrations
The 27th June 2022 marked the farewell celebrations of our year 6s as they proceed their educational journey in secondary schools. The event was celebrated though a number of activities which culminated into the award of trofies from the Head of School Mr Kenneth Busuttil together with the assistant heads Mr Brian Vassallo and Ms Debbie Atansio.
The school administration wishes the best for our students also the best of luck for the future.

Reading books
In year 3 we are learning the importance of reading and the magic of books. Together with our teacher and LSE we went to our school’s library and borrowed a book. We got to look for a book we like, and after choosing one, we went to enjoy the story and read in our yard. After finishing our book, we got to swap our chosen book with another borrowed book of a friend. All of us read at least one book, and some, even two or three books!

Jellyfish 2
This week, at Mariam Albatool School, we continued working on a project about Jellyfish. Hence I am posting the same information I posted before. below are some new photos of the project.Jellyfish puled long ocean currents for millions of years, well before dinosaurs did on Earth. These jelly-like creatures are abundant in both cold and warm ocean waters, in deep water, and along coastlines. Despite the name ‘fish’, they aren’t actually fish—they’re invertebrates or animals with no backbones.We would like to thank Ms Sharon Balzan, Ms Antonella Vassallo, and Ms Denise Micallef for their meticulous planning, implementation and evaluation of the project. Very well done.

Hand Printing
Hand painting is a great way for children to explore, learn and develop through sensory play. When children can feel the cool, squishy texture of the paint and experiment with colour and patterns, it encourages their creativity. It’s also a good way for children to express emotions.
This is exactly what Ms Sara Chetcuti, one of our Kg teachers was doing in class today.

Dinja Wahda Activity – Il-Pitirross
Today, we learnt about robins, or “pitirrossi” in Maltese. With the help of our educators, we painted robins and cut them. We even named our robins!
Activities like these help raise awareness environmental amongst the students. Students understand the importance of nature, flora, and fauna, and learn how to better take care of our world (for us and for other creatures.
The school administration would like to thank Ms Roseanne Dimech and Ms Charmaine Shwidi for this initiative.

Comic competition
As a school, we have decided to participate in the competition entitled: Water-be the change. The students had to create a comic about the importance of water conservation. One entry from each class (Years 4-6) was selected. The other comics are going to be displayed in the school corridors and all the students are going to be given a certificate for their participation and effort.
